I believe our president knows this, and that he will more than likely take care of that nasty business before leaving office rather than leave it to some unknown successor.

All right, then...what do you think he's waiting for? Why not take care of nasty business when it arises?

He is waiting until nearer the end of his term; certainly not before the November elections, and maybe not before '08. We all know that Swifty left him a big mess, and that we are now dealing with the consequences of eight years of turning the other cheek, total mismanagement, and sheer stupidity. I can't make myself believe that George W. Bush is the kind of man to kick that can down the road for the next guy.

He feels an obligation to leave things better than he found them, and will -- for sure -- eliminate Shitforbrainsijad and his butt-boy, Assad, the mullahs and Baathists that prop them up, and probably two or three other jihadi supporters. It will be much more up close and personal than a protracted invasion or nuke strike.

More times than not, the man has done exactly what he has said he is going to do, and I do not think he will leave office with this key part of The Bush Doctrine unfulfilled.

If Iran pulls off some major fiasco, as threatened, by August 22, all bets are off.
