"Missionaries flocked to the Scandinavian peninsula from the 9th century onwards, the legendary heathen temple of Uppsala was destroyed 100 years later and worship of false gods was finally forbidden."

Religion of peace? /sarcasm

This business about Christianizing Sweden really makes me laugh. There were Sa'ami who "faked it" by becoming Church of the First Born, and fleeing to America as fast as they could in the 1600s and 1700s.

Some of them are still there, of course, but they're now into faking it as fake Pentecostals ~ rather like their American cousins.

The regular Swedes continue to be totally flumoxed by these guys.

yes, pagan churches are wrong and smashing them up eventually leads to peace. Obviously.

Yeah, those Vikings wouldn't have even thought of hurting a fly until those damn Christians(Christianists? Christianistas?) came and taught them ALL their warlike ways.

And when was that again? I believe you seem to think Christians still are like that? You think they did that in the name of God? No. They did that because they wanted to.
