This has been discussed quite extensively on a number of other sites (and probably here as well). Here is the original AP caption:
A Lebanese man salvages some of his childrens toys from the rubble of his destroyed house that was hit during an Israeli air strike in the southern suburb of Beirut, Lebanon, Thursday July 27, 2006. Israeli jets pounded suspected Hezbollah positions across Lebanon Thursday, extending its air campaign a day after suffering its highest one-day casualty toll. An Israeli Cabinet minister said lack of agreement on a cease-fire gave Israel a green light to press deeper to wipe out the Islamic militant group.(AP Photo/Hussein Malla)
If you look closely you can see that the Minnie Mouse doll had been photographed upstage, closer to the building. I guess it is possible he picked that up first then went down to the suitcase. But not very likely.

The pink doll is being REMOVED from the suitcase. Doll body position tells all.

I do not mean any disrespect but do you know how much dust is created when you collapse a concrete structure [Remember 9/11]?
Those dolls would be covered in it if they were inside that building during it's collapse...and none would be in pristine condition.
Yawn...

I wonder where he got the nice suitcase and clothes if his house was destroyed.
