Nasrallah has to sign off on any UN resolution. Yes, the Lebanese official he just spoke with says NASRALLAH MUST APPROVE ANY UN RESOLUTION. If IDF ground troops in Lebanon, he will not approve. What the hay? Will the US stand up for Israel? Sure does not look good. Flame away, I haven't started a post since 1998.

Seriously? This is ridiculous. That's like treating Osama Bin Laden like the head of a legitimate governing body.

If Hezbollah has veto power over any resolution then the Lebanese govt. is useless and shouldn't even be a consideration in this conflict.

Oh yeah! The terrorist must have his say! It does not matter to the UN about a sovereign nation. Give the UN a boot!

No one should be negotiating with terrorists.

These folks sure do think they have the power. Exactly what position does Nasrallah hold? (Open fire.)

Unbelievable if true that Nasrallah has a say in any way. Israel needs to stack him and his dead people like cord wood.

Well, this certainly shows who's really in charge of the Lebanese government doesn't it?

The Lebanese government is powerless to oppose Hezbollah. Hezbollah does not want to be cut down to size by a foreign force. That's why they nixed the UN resolution. Now of course Nasrallah wants a ceasefire - but only on his terms.

The Israelis will just have to kill him then, and strike a blow for peace.

Don't worry, we're not paying any attention to Shep either.

The UN is useless, as usual, so Israel's going to have to do it themselves, also as usual. The US is in a great position - "If the UN can't do anything, what can we do?".

F!ck Nasrallah. The UN too for that matter. Your first post libbylu, my first curse...I'm just fed up with both the Mad Muslim and the UN-Jazeera.

Israel should continue until it gets Lebanon's Unconditional Surrender. That would clarify things!

This is really really sad, yes, he did say it. I wanted to puke. Maybe he wasn't supposed to say it but he said it twice.

This whole thing has been very educational ... at least from the standpoint of clarifying who exactly is in charge of Lebanon, the prime minister or the head of a terrorist group.

Lebanon is a hostage of Hizballah, Syria and Iran. Anything else is beside the point.

Worse, if Hez can do this they have effectively supplanted Lebanon as a national government. In which case the IDF just needs to conquer the territory outright and relocate every Palestinian in the West Bank and Gaza over to it. In the meantime they should swipe another 50 miles of Lebanon as a buffer DMZ against Katyusha rockets.

Amen, and they should flatten every building in South Lebanon to try to kill those hezbos.

This makes all of those "Israel is killing innocents" claims null and void. Israel is fighting a war against its enemy--Lebanon.

Whodda h*ll cares what this murdering terrorist says? The UN is out of its collective minds. Nasrallah is target-rich for a specialized sniper.
