Read more at the link. The author interviews several deserters and potential deserters. None of them say they're going to star in Waco Part II at Cindy's.
Also, the reporter fell for Cindy's lie that she's fasting. Consuming 500 calorie Jamba Juice Smoothies and vanilla ice cream does not constitute a fast, un;ess you're a moonbat.
Also, the reporter repeats the lie that Baghdad Jim McDermott is a Vietnam vet. Jim served in the Navy from 1968-70 in beautiful (and peaceful) Long Beach, California.

Cool!
What's the penalty for aiding and abetting fugitive felons?

Is aiding and abetting a deserter a federal offense?

One not wearing a name badge declined to reveal his identity. He said, with confirmation from his peers, that he was from the Seattle area, in his 20s, and had been "away-without-leave from a combat unit now in Iraq" for an undisclosed period of time. Being AWOL, however, has been "hell," he said, not only because of rifts in his family, but also because of "the uncertainty of not knowing if I will be caught as a deserter or if I should go public and turn myself in. I am constantly back and forth; it's always on my mind."
Oh yeah, he's certainly worse off than members of his unit that deployed.

To: Edgerunner
Desertion can be difined as treason in certain cases. Both are punishable by death. Perhaps aiding and abetting could and should be too..

"What is the noble cause that my son died for in Iraq?" Sheehan asked, echoing her remarks from last year as she spoke Thursday on the steps of the HUB on the UW campus. If you'd tried this in Syria or Iran, they would've summarily stomped your guts out, Cindy. With comments like this, no wonder dad has divorced you and your family has disowned you. I hope you like the company of your fellow moonbats around Christmas-time and your birthday because your relatives will be bouncing you right out of the neighborhood if you show your face there.

The putz has an easy life. Personally, I think he should be hauled up to a wall and shot. Such are the wages of desertion.
