Actually, there is no mechanism in our laws for deporting, banishing, or exiling any natural-born U.S. citizen. Naturalized citizens may, under certain circumstances, have their citizenship revoked, but natural-born U.S. citizens cannot have their citizenship removed, nor can they be force to leave the United States.

If citizens break the law, they can be imprisoned. That's it.

Treason is against the law. The punishment can be death.
