You know what's SO funny about this- I have heard the president use the SAME phrase to describe these savages before. Yesterday was not the first time. So- either they heard it before too- and just ignored it- or they waited til it was more likely to get a rise out of their constituents.
Either way..the president didn't say this for the first time yesterday.
He started using it in some speeches late last year. However, he technically did not himself call the terrorists islamic fascists. He said:
"Some call this evil Islamic radicalism; others, militant Jihadism; still others, Islamo-fascism."
