(It's not the first time Bush has angered Muslims with his remarks. Shortly after the Sept. 11 attacks, he referred to the global war on terrorism as a crusade, a term that connotes Christian attacks on Islam in the Middle Ages.)

Thank you LA Times for bringing that up again. I'm sure that will help us reduce terrorism against us. Why not also dredge up every other pretext that Muslims have used to attack us over the years? It would create an excellent template for any story regarding Islam.

Sometimes I think Muslims in America think they are Media geniuses. All the "Associations" can not hide the fact that they keep their mouth shot before the islamic fascist blood thirty mad dogs savagery (like the "head-cutters"). SILENCE!.... as long as they keep silent, they will not have my respect. AND!... GWB has done a lot for them... trying to present them as innocent NORMAL human beings!... but I am beginning to believe there is nothing normal about them. Their religion is too bloody and confrontational... to let them get along with the world. When a "religion" produces so much HATE... there is got to be something wrong with it.

The way Bush said it made it offensive, but it is true that those terrorists are Islamic fascists. However, it groups a whole religion in, kind of like calling IRA terrorists "Christian fascists".

President Bush was widely criticized by Muslim leaders Thursday for saying that the breakup of an alleged plot to blow up airliners over the Atlantic Ocean was a triumph in the "war against Islamic fascists."

Upset about temporarily closing a mosque for the Sock Puppet's visit, upset about some cartoons faked by a mullah to incite violence over some other cartoons the stupid mohammedans never saw, offended, angered, blah blah blah. Proper response? "We are at war with Islam, because Islam has been at war with the world since the seventh century. Don't want us to be at war, lay down your arms. Otherwise, die. Your choice."
