If the planes exploded over a major city, or at the airport when landing, there would be truly stunning loss of life and economic disaster for that city. Doesn't seem likely for Boston. The incoming routes are mostly over water or south of town, never over the city itself.

Depends on the wind. Many times, the incoming flights go directly over my house in Malden.
