Research doesn't support you in the least: of the 400+ psychological studies we have of terrorists dating back, before OBL, they are overwhelmingly middle-class or upper-class, not poor; educated, not mindless; and all completely drenched in jihadist teaching. You will find references to several studies and profiles of terrorists, done over a 15 year period, in my book, America's Victories: Why the U.S. Wins Wars.

I just
KNEW Boston was one of the targeted cities. Why else would Romney deputized hundereds of national guardsmen just hours after the news.
"About 100 guard members were deputized to help with security at the airport." http://cbs4boston.com/topstories/local_story_223130519.html

"Maybe the Terrorist have driven around or thru the big dig." I've always thought those undergournd tunnels, even the Callahan Tunnel, are a terrorist dream targets.

Agree with muawiyah, I can see who international flights can reach New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Boston which are located among our boarders but I was under the impression that any cities further in country are carried out by domestic flights only, meaning changing planes. Am I wrong on this assumption?

I wasn't talking about the 'cocktail' itself, I was talking about seeing the change in the structure of the bottle. Wouldn't a 'false floor' show up inside the bottle as a solid line?

It may but the thin plastics are not very opaque to XRay and you would have to bet the luggage screeners are really on their toes.
I more question the results of acetone on some plastics.

Sounds like we'll just have to get bottles of water on the plane itself. I hope the airlines are ready for the onslaught of requests. I usually travel with at least a 32oz. bottle of water. It is SO dry on airplanes; I like to have something at my seat to drink all the time.

Many inland airports have an international arrivals facility. Shortest route between Omsk and Chicago is across the North Pole.
Orbitz says it does not support setting you up for such flights though.

I'm sure I heard Chertoff deny the explosion over the city scenario yesterday as well.

The Greater the "mass" the greater the fall.

The particular mixture these "people" use is never used in industrial or military explosives, and contains no nitrogen. The reason it is not used in common explosives is because it is unstable and unpredictable. Only a moron with a death wish would attempt to make or use it. Which is why it's so popular with Jihadis. In this incident, the plan seems to have been to mix the two components in the plane lavatory.
