How about this scenario: The Israeli's don't have to relinquish any land north of the 'blue' line. The fighting and sniping goes on; the 'robust' UNIFL fears it is too dangerous for their Frenchies and the war goes on and on and on until the Israeli's accomplish their initial task. The Hezzis can't stop fighting because no one else wants them and they are fighting for THEIR lives. This whole thing has a long way to go before it is over.

Could be. There are some very clever people who wrote this and believe it or not I actually think France is on our side in this (although they can't let that be known too publically). After all, they have quite a problem within their own borders and they would probably love for things to get a little better under control.
