I've been busy at the office and did not have time to keep current on the news. How surprising...not...to find that the news alert on FNC is a massive ground operation by the IDF. Shep had them retreating and looking dejected last night when I left.

andrea mitchell on MSNBC:
Condi has "convinced" lebanon and israel to go along (no mention of hezbollah!). alot of "bluffing" on both sides. The French will lead the int'l force.
To: sofaman
He went to war hastily, without properly gauging the outcome. He blindly followed the military without asking the necessary questions.I'm not sure I agreed with these statements, but the article was otherwise spot on.

Hey sofa...if Olmert does come back and accept this UN resolution after all we have heard this morning...I say WE all get together and go to Israel...and become a pain in his A$$...just park ourselves.
I mean..this has been a proxy war all along...and THIS American didn't give him permission to screw the WEST out of this victory.

"Condi says nobody will get all they want"
I'm afraid that may be diplo-speak for "we are caving to the Euro-twits and Arab League because we don't have the guts to stay the course." Unless the Hezi-Nazis are forcibly kept out of southern Lebanon there is no "peace"..... and there does not seem to be any UN resolution or "peacekeeping force" that is going to accomplish this.....

Shep hand wringing that Israel will be in violation of UN resolution if they don't retreat. Has the UN changed the name of Lebanon to Hezbollanon yet?
I feel sorry for the Israeli people. Looks like they best get used to underground bunker living.

As promised to you yesterday.
The security at BWI was not nearly as bad as I expected. But there definitely was a higher level of tension. Here's my time-line.
2:45 - Left for the airport. All the overhead signs on the approach to the airport were programmed to remind you not to have any liquids on you for security.
3:30 - Rental car returned and got off the bus at BWI. Got in line for E-ticket checking.
4:15 - Finally! It's my turn to check in. The line was real long.
4:30 - Got through security. Did the same procedure as I alway do and had no problems. There were constant calls not to try to bring liquids through and there was a bin set up that all the liquids in.
4:45 - This was the time my flight was scheduled for. I had already checked online before leaving to the airport to see that it was delayed till 5:25. Every single flight on the board at the airport was listed as delayed. The shortest delay I saw was 30 minutes.
5:25 - Still haven't boarded plan.
5:40 - Finally boarded.
6:40 - This is when we finally got to take off. There were so many planes trying to get caught up from the delays caused by the London situation that there was just no room in the sky for them all. In fact our pilot had to call the fuel truck over while we were waiting because we didn't have enough fuel for the route we were going to have to take.
The nonstop flight was very strange. We made at least 7 turns on the route. I can only assume that he was moving from air corridor to air corridor Becca's of the routing for the number of planes in the sky. I saw many aircraft out my window during the flight. More than I'm used to. FLIGHT TIME: 4 Bloody Mary's and one Budweiser Select.
10:50 Landed in ABQ No problem getting my bags or getting picked up.
I ended up getting home at 11:30 (I left all the times eastern, it was actually 9:30 Mountain time). Very tired, but at the same time surprised that the process was not as bad as I had anticipated.
It was an interesting day though. Lot of stressed out people. In a way I found that discouraging. It means to me than though these guys did not get to pull off mass murder, they still did get to terrorize.

What's sad is... they'll get away with it. Lebanon saying anything doesn't mean Sh*t. What does that have to do with not only the non-implementation of 1559 but even the insertion into their government of Hez? If they speak for terrorists, install terrorists in their government... they belong to Lebanon. We know they can't control them... obviously.
They are responsible.
Guess we'll find out in a minute... as per MSLSD Bolton and Condi to speak in a moment. If the vote was supposed to be at three... why are they speaking now?

"US will vote YES on new deal,,chapter 6 deal"
_____________
I heard the same thing. What's more more important is the arm's shipment. If the US is serious about stopping Israel they can simply halt the arms shipment. I sense some duplicity here to confuse.

BTW, When I see Nasrallah rotating on a fiery spit... saying he surrenders... then I still wouldn't believe him.

It was disgusting...and I noticed that Sean didn't even mention the interview on the TV show last night...I guess they didn't want him giving CBS any free publicity..
I PRAY that he at least gets on his show today and says what he didn't and should have said yesterday.

I'm hearing they're trying to get the votes for a No Confidence vote, but don't know how that's shaping up.
