There's NO official word of Israel calling off the operation now underway. The US isn't doing Israel a favor here. Israel is going IN not seeking an "exit strategy." People need to get the facts straight.

Now Hala Gorani at CNN Int., is saying the resolution does not call for an immediate end to hostilities, but for an Israeli withdrawal at the "earliest" contradicting what Beckett said.

Seems like there might be some differences in interpreting the timing in the proposed resolution.

Typical UN verbiage. It sounds frightening but its all bark and no bite. They labored for over a week and produced a reaffirmation of the status quo out of their hat. And this is the organization liberals say can produce peace. In reality it produces hot air. In the meantime, resolution or no resolution, the fighting will go on.

Of course there is, they keep stopping and starting... pulling back and leaving the soldiers standing there like targets. Meanwhile Hez resupplies and comes right back up.

They must be holding a lot of civilians... that's the only thing I can figure.
