I think it's more than that. The message should be: "You have professed a religion that has as one of its tenets the murder of those who don't agree with it. Therefore, you are not welcome here any longer. It doesn't matter how 'law-abiding' you are or how much you claim to abhor the pracitces of your extremist brethren. Your very presence is a cancer. You must go."
The extremists should be killed without mercy.
