Look, I'm as incensed as you are with fake moderates like those at CAIR and many others. But that doesn't justify a blatant and bigoted lie, particularly one that is DAMAGING to our cause in turning away, discouraging or demoralizing vital allies, which is exactly what your statement is.
Muslims are dying every day fighting Islamism, in fact in far larger numbers than Americans or any other Westerners. I recall at least a couple stories from Pakistan over the years where Muslim security guards suffered injury or death protecting Christian enclaves or schools attacked by militants. Much of the research in Steve Emerson's breakthrough American Jihad was done by a devout Muslim, Khalid Duran, who has also worked with Daniel Pipes.

Defining such individuals out of existence is as stupid, damaging and counterfactual as it would have been, during the cold war, to claim that Alexander Solzenitzen was just another commie.
