I had the choice between what I knew was morally right and my loyalty to other soldiers. I couldn't have it both ways," the 27-year-old military policeman said in the just-released September issue of Gentleman's Quarterly.

Didn't these pictures first end up on the Internet and that's where the "scandal" got started?

If so, then this guy is revising history.

No he is not.

He did his military duty as required by military law and he upheld the honor the military.

The photos got out because the uncle of one of the soldiers about to be brought up on charges had copies of the photos that his nephew had sent back home on a CD disk. Uncle then called the Army and tried to blackmail the Army by threatening to release the photos to the news media unless the charges against his nephew were dropped.

The Army refused to be blackmailed.

The uncle then called up the muckraking Colonel Hackworth and the story and the photos hit the airways on CBS and then went on to the internet.
