Check out "The Legacy of Jihad" by Andrew Bostom. It contains some chilling accounts of Muslim tolerance... very disturbing.
Let's not forget that we have the capability to turn these cities into seas of glass from the comfort of home. That is a situation that hasn't existed since 600 a.d. It's an ace that's nice to have up the sleeve.
