Iran's 'supreme leader' Khamenei tells country to brace for war
In the first such order, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has directed its more than 300,000 troops to prepare for a confrontation with Israel and the United States. IRGC has directed and participated in the Hizbullah war against Israel. "Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guards and Basij should prepare themselves to get even with Zionists and Americans," IRGC commander Maj. Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi said. "The supreme leader [Ali Khamenei] will announce the time for this."

We wont (initially) - air force and navy will handle this.
It's not a real threat until the French formally surrender. Until then it's just noise.
"Islam actually will require us to total war since the civilians are almost as guilty as the terrorists; they're allowing these monsters to live in their midst. Therefore, they are enabling the terrorists."
Exactly!
Our ally Israel is under attack from a terrorist directly supported by Syria and Iran. What has Washington done in response?
North Korea conducted missile tests Washington said would be "unacceptable." Well?
North Korea sells weapons to most of our terrorist enemies. What happened to Bush's "you're either with us or against us?"
Why are our borders still unsecured 5 years after 9/11?
I'm not advocating that we nuke everyone who crosses our path, but it seems that Washington keeps re-drawing lines in the sand for others to keep on crossing.
It seems that a lot of signals are pointing out that we should be ready for a surprise major-scale attack of some kind.
Not that I think the Iranians and North Koreans and Syrians are dumb enough to start a war with us, but it certianly seems that our military forces should be on some kind of alert or preparedness mode.
Pearl Harbour, for example, had enough warnings that a few simple precautions and we could have turned the surprise attack into a surprise counter-attack.
I still think it is extremely unlikely, but a few thermonukes should be warmed up and ready to go cause that is the only reponse we got that doesn't take months to prepare for.
nobody overlooked it. Look at my posts from 2 years ago. You think Sonny and Fredo Hussein could have held it together after the old man died and Al Sadr's bunch backed by Iran came calling? I don't.
God bless our soldiers and please get every last one of them back home safe and sound. The ones that don't make it back could not possible be more honorable and brave. They live forever in our hearts.
I sure hope you're right!
No, I have been saying since before this started that one only has to look at a map to realize how critical Iraq is strategically.
All the other reasons are merely noise.
Hugo "I Heart Castro" Chavez was just on Iran.... Hmmmm.
Your right. The first shots will be air and naval. But you don't win wars that way. If we are going to fight this, it needs to be for keeps. That means ground assets. That means we need to radically improve our logistics.
Just _in_ Iran. Man -- need to double check for typos.
It seems that a lot of signals are pointing out that we should be ready for a surprise major-scale attack of some kind.

Does increasingly seem to be so.
I wonder what . . . other Powers have planned.
Thanks for the ping.
It will probably cost us all about a dollar or two a gallon, but we need to take out their oil fields and every energy producing plant they have. Then let them spend the next 20 years in the dark.

"Don't read the Bible with one hand while watching the news. We don't know the day or the hour, but even if this is not "The Big One" (which since I haven't seen the AntiChrist yet, I suspect it is not) things can get very ugly very fast."
You're right, and I'm not doing that. It just looks to me that everything is going in the direction that prophecy said it would. I heard someone once say--Don't keep yourself so heavenly-minded that you can't get your head out of the clouds.
