Say good bye to carry on luggage.

You are most probably right, but I am at a complete loss why having a two quarts of binary liquid explosive in the hold is any safer than having it in the cabin.

They probably can make luggage containers that can contain a small blast.

Checked baggage is easier to search, I think....

On that note, I recently came across the millimeter-wave chemical sensor which suggests exactly how such detection might be performed....

In most homes the bleach and the ammonia share the same contiguous space but are never mixed together.

I think you may find that ANY liquids of any kind will be banned from any and all luggage, regardless of where it's stowed.

Buy stock in UPS and FedEx. That will be the only way you can get any luggage to your destination - ship it overnight to your detination the day before.

My thoughs, too. If thugs are determined to explode planes mid-air, the carry-on luggage is only half the problem. How are checked bags inspected?

Your's is a very good point especially if it had some type of detonation device which could be set off by something as innocent looking as the remote door opener for your car.
