Run Conservatives, and they will get my vote. I don't expect perfection, impossible goal, but do expect more than lip service from a canidate.
That is, after all, how we got Bill Clinton...and there's no telling who the next beneficiary will be.
We also got a conservative Congress because of Clintoon backlash, a congress that was heck bent (for the most part) on not supporting liberal agendas. We got a balanced budget and we controlled legislation the way it should be controlled (for the most part again).
In the run-up to Reagan's defeat of Jimmy Carter one of the networks had a phone-in poll where, for a dollar, you could call in your vote. You wouldn't believe the number of people who spent their dollar to say they didn't know. The extent of what they "didn't know" must be spectacular.
Sorry, you lost me here... Didn't know what? The reason Carter lost was because He was a weak minded little appeaser (and still is X10) and the general public wanted a strong conservative America. Reagan was my first conservative vote cast (first time to get to vote at 18, and I will not say which election that was). I plan to keep voting conservative Christian, if neither candidate can conform to those point, they will soon learn to look that way next time they run for election. Otherwise there is NO incentive to run conservative Christian in the future.
My vote is for the future, without voters like myself, that position is soon lost in the political quagmire.
The fact that because of Clinton we got the 1994 Congress is pretty thin soup in light of all that damage Clinton was able to do anyway:
Chicoms got the technology they needed. Islamofascists read America as weak after Clinton decimated the military and treated the bombing of the World Trade Center as a law enforcement matter.
It allowed him to ship Elian Gonzales (at gun point) back to Castro.
It allowed Janet Reno to torch a religious cult near Waco.
It allowed Bill Clinton to claim a huge chunk of Utah as a national monument...a decision that sucked so bad that he had to conduct the ceremony in Arizona.
He was able to gut the Justice Dept. by calling for the resignatyion of all U.S. Attorneys so he could get his own people in. He laid the groundwork for 9/11 by displaying weakness and refusing an offer to take Osama Bin Laden into custody when that was offered to him on a silver platter.
Hey....no harm done....right?
Any other choice is the same as voting Dem.
And in doing that, you will be selling the soul of this nation to the Godless, immoral, baby-killing left.
For a Christian, there is NO choice. It's a matter of survival.
