About the only limitation I'd put on it would be no AP rounds. Do an ammo check when you get your bording pass and check in your luggage. Frangible rounds or even those nifty powdered lead rounds that'll take a Tango down, but won't penetrate the aluminum.

Carry ons are nice-to-haves not necessities when folks are using carry on items to commit atrocities. I would rather be safe than have some shampoo or magazines or whatever else I might put in a carry on on my flight.
