So they were "home grown". Since we're not allowed to "target" American citizens does this mean a similar group would NOT be detected in the US? (Thank you Cindy & Company!).

Good points.

"Homegrown" in this case is a scary word, making the NSA 'domestic spying' program all the more critical.

And I wonder if Joe Lieberman is wondering if he would have won had this happened a day earlier......
