I'm surprised the rules were ever relaxed on liquids carried on board. I remember vividly being asked to taste my bottled water in front of security before I could board a plane shortly after 9-11. When I flew a few weeks ago no one bothered with the half full bottle of juice I put through security. Glad this rule is back in effect.
I'm with you on that one. I guess my days of island hopping around Oahu carrying on a six pack of beer are over!
