Passengers on all flights will not be allowed to take any hand luggage on to any flights in the UK.

Only the barest essentials - including passports and wallets - will be allowed to be carried on board in transparent plastic bags.

Coming soon to the U.S.

I'm going to HATE my job when this happens. Two hours in the air with NOTHING to do but read "Sky Mall". Lord help me.

Imagine a transcontinental flight.... UGGHHH... Now let's add a screaming baby and a kicking 4-year old for extra fun! ;)

Seriously though, this stuff is scary.

All because we admit middle easterners. We need politicians who put out interests before the enemy's.

Dearest and I flew British Airways in June, and found the service to be amazing...except that our 747 had a bad vid system with only three channels.

"Sky Mall" does indeed suck.

Ah, but think how nice it will be to have people boarding the airplane without trying to carry-on everything they own. They might have to learn to check their bags! And boarding could be completed in two minutes!

I'll bet they'll let on reading materials. When I fly (and I try to do it as little as possible now), that usually includes the local paper, Wall Street Journal, National Review and American Spectator.

Of course, they'd probably confiscate the last two!

Bring a quran...guaranteed that they won't be confiscating those.
