Somalis hopped up on khat, I'll wager. There's no shortage of them here. They seem to be supplementing the revenues from their parking-ramp-toll-booth empire with petty criminal acts.

From the looks of the perps' names, the victim was getting in touch with their muslum traditions. Actually, I once worked with the database of a state family literacy organization centered on Minneapolis. I was really surprised at the number of arab sounding names. For instance a search for "Abdul" on a base of 30,000 family names would bring up over 300 matches.
From my guess they were probably all followers of the "honorable" Ellijah Mohammed.
