The situation could have been avoided, if the cops had just shot the "dangerous suspect" and ended the entire ordeal before they shut the area down.

Are you a cop? Do you know the rules of engagement for the Albuquerque police department?

Civilian police forces are not the USA DOD, and however much they really wannabe, I will never cede them the powers of undeclared Martial Law on the CONUS.

Chances are high that a large percentage of the affected citizen population denied the free pursuit of their health, wealth and happiness were screwed by inept local police force stupidity in this situation.

You may think submission to "police authority" is a natural human response.
I do not.
I hope the Ungers sue them out of existence.
