The Viagra was prescribed after surgery?
I almost hate to ask, but what pray tell would a post surgical erection be good for?
Holding the IV Bag?

...was Williams drunk at the time?

1) I have
never found RW to be 'funny' ... even "Mork from Ork" was just a blithering idiot.
2) RW is a lefist moron.

Well, Williams is fully qualified to comment on the drug use of others. He has done significant drug research, himself.
Factoring out whether I like/dislike his political comments, he just hasn't been funny for a very long time.

Robin Williams lecturing people on drug use is like Jeffery Dahmer criticizing cannibals.

Williams crested decades ago and has been on the descent ever since. No doubt.

I've had the same opinion of Robin Williams for the last ten years...he's Sam Kennison, only alive. He's not funny, he is frantic and I simply can't bear to watch him.

Pretty funny coming from a reformed (supposedly) drug addict.I don't laugh much at Robin William's humor ... But circa 1987 he was on Johnny Carson, bouncing all over the set and obviously coked up. That was funny!

Few leftists have any sense of humor at all. They are grim.
Lefty "comedians" can't create too many funny lines.
Liberals don't get funny jokes, either.
Their depressing lives suck, and so do they.

Here we go again...a celebrity says something we don't like and all of a sudden he's a talentless hack. Robin Williams is one of the most talented performers alive. He is brilliant comedian and an excellent dramatic actor. His understated performance in AWAKENINGS was extraordinary.
Surprise...surprise...he has an addiction problem. Seems half the people who post here do as well (myself included). Jokes about Rush were inevitable...Just like what Mel Gibson is going through. I wish Mr. Williams well. Maybe Rush should send him a note.

"Just like George Carlin"
"F**k the children!" Sometimes Carlin is really funny and sometimes he's not, just like Robin Williams, though if I had to choose one it would be GC.
Lynch Robin Williams?

My opinion of this guy was formed long before he said anything about Rush, and before Rush's difficulties were news. If you like him, that's fine.

I don't know about that. At their peak Carlin, Pryor and Woody Allen were quite funny.

Robin Williams shook my daughter's hand in Afghanistan. It meant doubly much to her. She and Robin Williams are from the same county, probably born both at Marin General. His appearances and mingling with the troops meant a very great deal to them. He made them laugh, and hard, during a time when there was so little to laugh about. He was a love note from home, and in person.
I hope Robin Williams finds what he's looking for and needing.

I thought the whole "viagra" thing was a grand hoot. From the get-go. And to watch how many sirens came flying out from the neverworld to screech over it. It just made me howl with laughter. It'd be perfectly in Rush's character to pull something like this. I remember his stories from his childhood... the water balloons.. for one.

Williams was born in Chicago and moved to Michigan at an early age. Is that where you are talking about?
