Ruthlessness does make it go away, if one kills all the enemy. You are talking about tiny percentages.
There are many more examples in history of ruthlessness making problems go away. Ever hear of a place called Carthage? What about the diaspora? The Mongols were past masters at the technique.

Commie-lib traitors are all saying get the heck out, veterans are all saying support the president. Commie-libs sling chickenhawk bullfeathers then try to suppress soldiers' absentee ballots. They are only interested in shutting other people up, they never act on any principle themselves. And they are the ones who don't deserve a bloody vote, because they do everything in their power to wreck their country.
