While your comments are logical, there is no way to predict what our response would be to another horrible calamity here. There are too many different terrorist acts to choose from, therefore it is impossible to predict just what our reaction would be. It could run the entire gamut from electing a pile of democrats, to defeating Syria and Iran, to our economic collapse and almost anything else, including glass parking lots.

It is morale building to talk tough, even though it may be unrealistic.
