BTW, there's no governmental entity called Southern California yet (in point of fact). Does not exist.

You were talking about the ruler of a political entity, which you called Spain, at a time when no such entity existed. In fact, "Southern California" did not exist in 1400. Not the land itself, which of course existed, but a concept that was not yet in anyone's mind. NO ONE would have said "I live in Southern California" in 1400. The Acjachemen, Tongva, Chumash and other natives would have referred to their local village or place names and may not have even had a concept of the areas now in "Northern California".
By the same token, calling Arnie the Governor of Southern California would be as incorrect as calling the ruler of a Moorish kingdom in Iberia the "Governor General of Spain". Would you call Charlemagne the "King of Europe"? Jefferson Davis the "President of America"?
Just admit you were wrong, move on, and maybe we can take seriously the rest of you posts.
