Short **put**, over the past few days? Uh, maybe not. Shorting a put implies that the trader thinks the price of the underlying will not drop sharply or is likely to rise.

I'm sure you meant to say 'short call', right?   ;^)

Actually...neither! I meant a short bet "initiated" just a few days ago. After I posted that I KNEW you'd be the one to catch the ambiguity!
