Edward J. Erler is a senior fellow of the Claremont Institute and Professor of Political Science at California State University, San Bernardino. From 1983-84, Dr. Erler served as director of bicentennial programs at the National Endowment for the Humanities, and serves currently as a member of the California Civil Rights Commission. He is the author of The American Polity (Crane Russak, 1993), and numerous articles on topics including the fourteenth amendment, affirmative action, and the death penalty.
