Waco police arrested a man in connection with the shocking attack of a woman at a local liquor store last week.
34-year-old Tony Wayne Swinnie was arrested over the weekend for a robbery in Grand Prairie, and was charged today for attempted capital murder for the attack at Martha Jane's liquor.
Today the victim of the Waco liquor store robbery, 62-year-old Martha Jane Ezar, told NBC 6 News she's feeling better and trying to keep a positive attitude. She was released from Hillcrest Hospital in Waco Monday afternoon.
Security video shows her being hit over the head with a liquor bottle during the robbery.
Police didn't release video that reportedly showed her being severely beaten after being hit with the bottle.
It happened last Thursday in front of her two grandchildren in the liquor store she owns.
Martha Jane said, "I am sure God came there between me and the liquor bottle that hit my head."
Police also believe the suspect attacked and robbed a man at a McDonald's in Grand Prairie last month. The victim was left with a broken jaw.
