I know people who refer to the war on terror as the "war on terror." They don't believe we are at war. I just lurked over at DU, and they don't seem to understand the seriousness of what is happening over in the UK.
Or, perhaps I should say that they don't WANT to understand the seriousness of what is happening over in the UK.
