Because Nascar decided that Evernham did not notify them in time. It was a post entry decision by RE apparently

Ok, guess I'm confused. I thought I read that the normal entry submission (for every race, that they all have to do) listed BE as the driver of the #19 car.

I could see Nascar saying "No" if they came back and changed the driver after initial entry submission........I'll have to go back and look.

Erin Crocker may run some Cup races next year.

I don't even want to go there. That would be sad to think that Jeremy lost a ride over a soap opera type thing.

The girl can drive, no doubt. I don't think she is ready for prime time, yet. Just like I don't think the kids that RYR is talking about are ready for prime time yet.

Kids wrecking a lot of hardware in prime time?......oh yea!

According to a report in SceneDaily.com, Elliott cannot use a champion's provisional because his name was not on the entry list as Jeremy Mayfield's replacement by the July 31 entry deadline.

The thing that irks me is that they wreck the good drivers and waste a lot of money wrecking cars and learning the ropes in the Cup Series.
