The head of Iran's Revolutionary Guards said the United States and Israel would not survive if they attacked his nation, the IRNA news agency reported today.
"Without doubt, if the criminals (the United States and Israel) want to make any moves against Iran they will be stricken by a blow 100 times stronger and they will not survive in the face of Iran's power," General Yahya Rahim Safavi was quoted as saying.
Iran is under threat of international sanctions if it fails to comply with a United Nations Security Council resolution to suspend uranium enrichment by August 31.
Washington has also never ruled out the use of force against Iran.
Israel meanwhile yesterday accused Iran of "stoking instability in the region" after a barrage of Hezbollah rocket fire killed 15 people in northern Israel.
Israel regularly accuses Iran and Syria of backing Hezbollah and feeding the Lebanese Shiite militia's arsenal.
Tehran and Damascus reject this, saying they only offer moral support.

The "head of Iran's Revolutionary Guards" is a comedian. Within a few days of the first air strikes on Iran, he, his troops, and any of his allies stupid enough to be busybodies will be cut to pieces. Our air support will own their skies. They will have no fancy toys, and most the enemy troops will be dead. And any terrorist attacks on our soil will prompt us to have less regard for "human shields" and enemy civilians who try to get in the way. We will finish the War on Terror very quickly then.
The Iranian and Syrian leaders are all mouth. Their only edge for the time being is the current lack of aggressiveness of our own leaders and their willingness to try to please the terrorist-friendly Euros.
:)
"No matter where you go.......there you are."
I live for obscure references!!
You know if the people in the 20-30 age bracket would "step up to the plate"... the crazy old men that are going to get the killed wouldn't be around to beak off like this... They need to "go or get off the pot" and figure it out before those old fools get them vaporized...
Definitely a movie to appeal to a certain class of freeper!
Have you seen the DVD and the out takes? Jamie Lee Curtis played BB's sister and her bit was left on the cutting room floor. If they ever made the planned sequels her part was going to be major. It's where I first encountered Clancy Brown and decided he was a character actor I really wanted to follow. Even though I've not liked most of the films he's done (with the exception of Highlander) I've always enjoyed his work.
Just a wild guess, but if you liked Buckaroo Banzai, have you seen Bubba Ho Tep? Same kind of guilty pleasure, for me at least.
Do you want to know the spookiest part? Before moving from the NY area to Memphis we lived for about 9 months in East Windsor, New Jersey. The real Grover's Mills is a small neighborhood inside the township of East Windsor. I drove past it regularly. I always looked for Martian tripod walkers or Yo Yo Dyne industries. Never saw either one.
How do you say, "I can't believe how full of crap I am" in Farsi?"
BAVARAM NEMEESHE CHEGHAT KOS-O-SHER MEGHAM...
:)
Not the Army, the general population, plenty of people there don't like the guys running the show... I know several people that left Iran/Persia and they feel the same way either you leave or the younger generation needs to do something about the crazy old fools in charge.
General, if you're feeling froggy, leap.
By the way...you know how you make Gumbo Yahya? Well, first you preheat Tehran to like eighteen, twenty million degrees....
Did you know that "Bubba Nosferatu" is in production?
Does this idiot actually believe that anyone listens to this horseshit any more?
Either Israel or the US could squash this pissant country like so many insects and there's not a damn thing they can do about it.......nor anyone else, for that matter.
I knew of the two proposed sequels, but wasn't aware that there was one in production. I'm so jazzed!!!!!
Maybe we can get Bruce Campbell to actually show up in Memphis for the premier this time and not just providing a video intro for the film festival.
I know several people who will be major stoked!
Of course, since President Kennedy can no longer participate the film will be missing some of its chram, but thems the breaks.
Thanks for letting me know about this.
"Hail to the King, baby!"
[they will be stricken by a blow 100 times stronger and they will not survive in the face of Iran's power]
I think we were just struck by a burst of hot air at least 100 times stupider than I've heard for a good while.
Time to get THEIR 'yahya's" out..........
The problem is, they don't believe we have the national will to use the nuclear arsenal we've accumulated over the years.
They have every reason to believe that, sad to say. A threat is useless if the 'threatened' don't believe the threat.
As an old Cold Warrior......let me clue ya; we have these weapons for a reason. If they don't serve as deterrents.....then you'd best damned well be prepared to use them for real.
