What if they had a primary election and nobody came?
Thats the way Sept. 19 is shaping up here. Its only six weeks from Tuesday, and if you had to pick the next governor right now the favorite is . . . Deval Patrick.
Amazing. His bumper stickers say No Ordinary Leader. Considering the type of people who have them on their cars, they should say Take Me to Your Leader. The moonbats are on the march. These are not your fathers Democrats, all of whom are either dead or have long since moved out of state.
The political process in Massachusetts is atrophying. Every cycle the candidates spend more money, and the voters respond by staying away from the polls in ever larger numbers. Four years ago 767,000 Democrats turned out; this year theyll be lucky if 600,000 show.
Forget the Republicans. Other than U.S. Senate, there are practically no primaries in that party, because there is practically no party left.
Oh, sure, some scattered nutjobs are after U.S. Rep. Steve Lynch, and a few are targeting Bill Delahunt, but mostly the de-institutionalized wing of the Democratic Party is swooning over Deval. Hes black, you know. Plus, he supports racial quotas, higher taxes and more handouts for illegal aliens.
Viva Deval (almost rhymes with Fidel)!

Massachusetts does rival Cuba for having (at every state level below the goverorship, and in all Federal levels) the most turgid, undemocratic political systems in the americas.
Fidel, President-for-life, and we have Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, senators-for-life. Ditto for the congressional delegation.
