True, but Tom is the icon of the anti-illegal immigration movement. Sensenbrenner is a good man, but I don't think he has the name that Tancredo has created for himself. Yes, G-d willing, Tom Tancredo will win in November, but that so many big names support Winter, and almost no big names support Tancredo disturbs me greatly.

Being a Coloradan I know Tom Tancredo well. Patriotic American, a good man, loyal Republican and solid conservative. Tancredo has a strong following in the Rocky Mountain region and most of the west. Nationally Tancredo isn't well known. While Tancredo chairs the Immigration Reform Caucus in the GOP House, his power base is limited. According to Congress.org, James Sensenbrenner is power ranked #5 in the House, Tancredo comes in at #277. Outside of the immigration issue, Tancredo has little impact on GOP politics.
