Why dod I think if these had been Christians the UN and the world would have paid quicker attention to this? They just LOVE commies--even the worst of the worst.

The miserable pissants at the UN are right on time.27 years is long enough to hide any complicity on their part.

Look how long it's taken them to get around to this and these particular commies kept detailed records of their crimes.

We could have been there and put a quick stop to this had John Kerry and the traitorous Democrats, MSM not turned a victory into defeat in Viet Nam and caused the withdrawl of our forces from the region.

The UN gives 50 million for elections in the Congo and only 50 million to finally bring to justice perpetrators of genocide. Nice apportionment, UN!

Also, Neal Boortz mentioned on one of his programs last week that the UN is trying to institute a tax to tax everyone living non third world countries. They want to create a world government and do away with individual countries.

I for one will NEVER, EVER pay a tax to the UN. Its bad enough that my US tax dollars go to support it!

Get the US out of the UN and kick the UN out of our country!!

Amazing incompetence by everyone in the so-called 'World Community'. These clowns have been quietly living out their retirement after killing 3 million (?) human beings where they should have all been hung.

Pol Pot's vision of socialist/marxist "utopia" included the liquidation of close to 25%(+) of the population of Cambodia.A college education was grounds for execution.

And speaking French marked you for Death as well....which was somewhat nasty in a country where France had had astrong colonial presence through their Indochine years.

No one wanted this all resolved quickly - everyone had embarassments with the Khmer Rouge butchers, not just the UN. After thew Vietnamese invasion, for example, NZ/Australia & the US all fought long and hard to keep the Khmer rouge leaders in exile/hiding as "the legitimate government of Cambodia" and therefore hold its seat at the UN which kept them going and gave them greater credibility.

We all have blood on our hands. I just wish we'd managed to make Pol Pot pay for what he'd done.

As I tell my kids, the worst that corporations can do is overcharge you or sell you a lousy product. GE, Pfizer or General Motors will NEVER kick your doors down at 4 AM and pull you and your family into the street for "interrogation."

Big, powerful governments and an unarmed citizenry are mankinds' most dangerous mix.

Only one, Kaing Khek Iev, also known as Duch, the commander of the torture chamber Tuol Sleng, is in custody. He has become an evangelical Christian

Good for him. Now try his nasty ass, give him time to say a short prayer, and drop his murdering carcass through the trap door.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Walter Cronkite and John Kerry for setting the stage for this by lying the US presence out of the area.

Exactly right--those mofo's are partly responsible for millions of lost souls. And they're STILL arrogant and self-important. Sheesh!

I also love the tone of this article.

"Because of the limitations of time and money....."

Hell the Hague had plenty of time and money to try old Slododon for war crimes. Maybe if Kofi dug really, really deep into his Swiss bank account he could cough up a few millions he got from the Oil For Food program and help the UN and the ICC do something right for once.
