That GIF compares two different photos from two different photographers working for two different agencies on two different days.
It was originally composed by someone at LGF who was arguing that the doctored Reuters photo was built from a July 26 AP photo. It was posted to make that point in post #6 on this thread.
Personally, I don't think it proves what it's purported to prove. Photographers working in Beirut all know the same vantage points. In fact, they're all probably staying at the same hotel and taking their wide shots from its roof. The overlap looks compelling in a muddy, low-res version, but with the original files -- unless the photographers were standing at the same spot with the same ISO and focal length -- not so much. Parralax is a harsh mistress.
Reign, Reuters issued a kill order on the pic. What more do you need?
You may very well be right. However, it doesn't change the fact that the overlay shown in my post was doctored. I guess without the original photo(s) we can't say for certain regarding anything else about the photos.
