I am also pleased to announce that on Wednesday, I received the endorsement of Florida Right to Life. This endorsement recognizes my pro-life record and my support of Republican values. The Florida Right to Life is the largest pro-life, grassroots political action committee in the state. I am humbled and honored to receive this endorsement because they have endorsed many successful candidacies including Jeb Bush in his successful runs in 1998 and 2002. Jeb has been a leader in enacting pro-life legislation into law and as Governor, and I will continue to enact pro-life initiatives like a 24-hour waiting period before a doctor can perform an abortion.

That's the comedian, Gallagher.
I realized that as soon as I posted it.. duh... i feel like an idiot... LOL
Your link goes to Gallagher's campaign website. I can't find the statement.
Could you please post the link to the speech from which you posted the excerpt?

Thanks.
I think this is highly disappointing. Jeb Bush did everything humanly and legally possible and some for Terri Schiavo.
Gallagher is down like 30 points. Even if every undecided went to him he'd still lose.
why is this disappointing?
They should have endorsed Jeb Bush.
huh? They did when he was a candidate !!
BTTT
Jeb is not running again.
Term limited... sorry...
CASINOS & CONSERVATIVE VALUES?
~ Charlie Crist continues raising money from liberal casino interests~
The development company hired by the Seminole Tribe of Florida to expand its gambling empire has given $100,000 to a political committee working to boost Attorney General Charlie Crist's campaign for governor.
The donor, Coastal Development Corp., owned by Richard T. Fields, wrote a check on July 18 to the Conservative Values Coalition, a third-party political group that has promoted Crist's campaign.
Fields, a former business associate of Donald Trump, brought together Baltimore developer David Cordish and the Seminole Tribe six years ago to develop the tribe's successful Hard Rock Casinos in Hollywood and Tampa.
In late June, the Conservative Values Coalition sent out a glossy mailer touting Crist's conservative credentials at the same time the Crist campaign started running a TV ad bearing a similar message.
Fields has also personally contributed to Crist's campaign, as has Coastal Development.
If elected governor, Crist will have the final say in the contract the state would have to sign with the Seminole and Miccosukee tribes before they are allowed to expand their gaming operations to bring in slot machines once they arrive in Broward County this fall.
Gov. Jeb Bush began negotiations with the Seminoles last fall, but the talks were called off this spring when the two sides could not reach agreement. Bush has indicated he does not want to allow the Seminoles to establish casinos beyond their facilities in Tampa and Hollywood, an option the tribe does not want to rule out.
Crist, who has also accepted money from the Miccosukee Indians, has said repeatedly that he will ``not support the expansion of gambling in Florida.''
But his campaign refused to say what position he would take in negotiations with the Indians.
This isn't the first time there have been questions about the depth of Crist's opposition to expanding gambling in Florida.
Crist refused to allow the attorney general's office to get involved in a lawsuit that Broward gambling halls filed after lawmakers in 2005 initially refused to pass a bill spelling out when and how many slot machines the parimutuels could install.
The governor's office has since kept Crist on the sidelines during negotiations with the Seminole tribe over the gaming compact, in which the tribe is seeking to install casino-style slot machines. Under previous Attorney General Bob Butterworth, the attorney general's office handled most of the compact negotiations with the tribes.
Crist's opponent in the Republican primary, Chief Financial Officer Tom Gallagher, has said he also opposes the expansion of gambling and has blasted Crist for accepting gambling money.
This is just more proof that Tom Gallagher is the only candidate that Republicans can count on to stand firm against the casino lobby, said Alberto Martinez, a Gallagher spokesman.
FV SAYS: Crist is a dodger and a weaver. He can't seem to answer direct questions. I feel he's the governor without a brain. If he only had a brain.
