Somebody explain just how wasting power and money by shining lights into the sky and your neighbors' windows is the sign of a real red-blooded freedom-loving American conservative.
Your lights mean the burglar will see,not trip over, the rake I "forgot" to put away. It will keep me awake unless I draw the blinds.
ANd I HATE those stupid bright orange highway lights that are installed on only one side of a 5 or six lane roadway because the fixtures must be angled to cast the light across the road and are blinding at every curve.
I am all for wise use of lighting by all government entities AND any business which receives tax abatements,benefits by eminent domain,etc. IF you take government subsidies by virtue of FHA,VA,Section * then the government has the right to approve your outdoor lighting just as they require certain other building standards.
