I guess because my mom was only in a nursing home for 11 mos, it seems to have happened so quickly. 3 weeks ago she seemed to be making a strong comeback, and they were going to cancel her hospice care. Then .. suddenly, she had a bladder infection and pneumonia, stopped eating and taking fluids and within a couple of weeks - it was over.
My worst tears are when I talk to my older sister. She just lost her husband in June.
But .. I'm not good at hiding my feelings and it won't bother me a bit if I cry or don't cry.
