How does it matter whether American FDA has or hasn't? We have our own FDA and thats whats more important.

I dont understand why you are makeing this a personal issue. If Indians are paying for it then they have a right to safe products.

Indians are free to do whatever they want. That's not the issue. But a protectionist policy regarding imports, even if it is masqueraded as a health issue, ultimately disadvantages that country.

India won't really suffer too much by this farce. I'm not sure how many Indians are employed by Coke and Pepsi to bottle and distribute the drinks in that country. Probably less than 30,000 nationwide will need to find new jobs.

Hardly noticeable. But notice also that you didn't do a thing about pesticides in your water. All you did was eliminate foreign suppliers of soft drinks.
