That's the problem with CBS news. They just don't know their audience. Dan Rather wasn't nice. Nobody felt sorry for Dan when those nasty, insensitive conservatives ganged up on him. What CBS needs is an anchor who can wear pretty pink skirts. Dan Rather's legs were probably too hairy for that, and shaving them wouldn't help at all. He just had to go.

Reminds me of the 65 + yo dudes with pony tails. I always thought I'd grow my hair out when I retired and it didn't matter anymore. Ah, the wonder of youth. Blech!! LOL
I, being a gramma several times over, let mine grow long - much easier to care for, no need for beauty parlors - saves time and money - etc etc. I find my age to be liberating. 'Certainly don't worry about what others may think about how I look or live. Life is much easier just being me, "my way."

I think it's different for a woman. I'm a grandpa myself but a pony tail is just out of the question for me, even though I had hair to the middle of my back some 30 years ago. Sigh...
