Welcome Home, JD.
I have two pair of Timberlands..love 'em.
LOL No, it's all just fine. My massage is all shot to heck, though. :-/ Luckily I live with the therapist... have to come up with another bribe to get an appointment.

Incredible picture
I meant to thank you a couple of threads ago, but ended up posting to someone else!
You do a great job and I love these threads - FR is so ahead of the news.
I actually turned in a book report on a Jerry Rubin book in high school- went over really big with the nuns. I think I topped it off with another reviewing the Bhagavad Gita.
I watched it amazed. I no doubt watched a bit of the 64 campaign, but I was still in elementary school then, 4th grade, so it didn't mean as much. But by 68, my budding political fixation was in bloom, and I watched the scene in the street with amazement.
I'm embarrased to say I voted for McGovern. Had his name ambroidered on a pair of jeans with a peace sign on the knee. (One of my girls still has the little bag I made with that peace sign on it when I wore out and cut up the jeans... with a rainbow drawstring!)
I played them some old Simon and Garfield a few months ago. Explained how back then we regarded ourselves as Jesus freaks. Even the atheist folk singers sang Jesus songs.
The times they sure are a-changing.

ALARM - a 3e the bridge, most important between Beirut and northern Lebanon, bombarded
BEIRUT - Israeli aviation bombarded the bridge known as of the "Casino of Lebanon", one of the most important works on the littoral expressway which connects Beirut to northern Lebanon, the third bridge in this sector concerned Friday morning, announced the police force.
Ah, the memories of youthful idealism, not really understanding the cause and effect relationships of things because I didn't know enough...
Ramble away, please! At least you're on-topic. ;-)
Seriously, you and several others are mighty informative with your speculations, maybes, and what ifs. It helps me immensely to make sense of the raw data.

Israeli bombardment of an important power station
BEIRUT - Israeli aviation bombarded Friday morning a power station which serves the south of the valley of Békaa in the east of Lebanon and a great part of the south of the country, announced the police force.
The fighter-bombers bombarded the power station "Ibrahim Abdel Aal", located at Sohmor, to 4 km in the south of the artificial lake of Karaoun, on the stopping of the Litani river, indicated the police force.
The electrical current at once was shut off in this area, added the police force, without being able immediately to specify the width of the damage or to make state of a possible assessment of victim.
Are you saying the thread was waiting for me to jump on board? (I'm picturing a gaggle of hobos jumping on a slow freight train all together.)
But it was probably all of those great photos checking in. ;-)

Well they shouldn't gone and done that.
Now the Hezbo's are sure to attack Tel Aviv.
:)
Since the war is sort of quiet. Do you remember Nixon calling students a bunch of bums? Do you know the story behind that?
A little more detail:
Air Force raids power station in Bekaa Valley and plunged the Kiraoun area in darkness.
