I wish they had been clear about this. Did you get the feeling that this was a possible rescue attempt or were the bodies on stretchers injured IDF soldiers from the maneuver?
El Indio is still open.
El Indio on India St., it sure is.
I think he'd love Coronado
A wonderful place.
you know the place,!!!!! knock me over with a feather,,,,
there is a very large area that "those people" control,,,
watch,,,,!!!
Yep, that's the one. I'm not sure it's related to the Escondido shops. I remember it being on India clear back in the early sixties. In those days, it was mostly a place to buy fresh torillas and chips, with a little food available as sort of a sideline. Heck, that was even before the park benches on the center island.
Sorry, but that is how they reported it, really no details.
But remember, it was CNN.
Are you starting an 8/5 thread?
Skimmed through the last 200 posts or so but will not be able to read through all 700 posts since I last visited the thread. So my question is this - has this incident been up and discussed here during the night?

Armed Palestinians kill 6 inmates at Jericho prison in West Bank
By Avi Issacharoff, Haaretz Correspondent
Five Palestinian gunmen dressed in military uniforms broke into a prison Friday in the West Bank city of Jericho and shot six inmates dead, security sources said.
The assailants were armed with handguns equipped with silencers.
The Israel Defense Forces acquiesced to the Palestinians' request to seal entrance and exit routes to the city.
Four of the six inmates were arrested by Palestinian intelligence services on suspicion of involvement in the killing of Haj Ali Farj, a well-known Fatah official from the village of Kfar Kablan, a year and a half ago.
The other two inmates in the same cell may have been caught in the crossfire, as they were not believed to be linked to the Farj murder.
On exiting the prison grounds, the armed Palestinians exchanged gunfire with prison guards.
NB: Jericho is part of PA, and the prison is "controlled" by the Palis.
Thanks for the update...
I didn't get whether the IDF casualties happened when they landed from fighting...or were already injured, and the IDF were just picking them up??

El Indio is no Taco stand.
There are wonderful restaurants surrounding it also.
sorry,,,,
I know. I catch 'footie' at the Shakespeare from time to time.
And I have read the Book of Revelation. And a book about the Book of Revelation.
People have thought it was the end times before. I figure it's best not to make guesses on things like that since the Bible clearly warns that none of us will know.
Unless the Israelis have located and rounded them up and we just don't know it yet. If they're never activated, I'll have to wonder what became of them (with my fingers crossed hoping for the worst, of course).
LOL! No, but I don't like Glocks, and prefer the .45. A 1911 just feels "right" in my hands.
My Dad has a Springfield XD40, and loves it! But it doesn't feel instictive to me to shoot.
That and plastic hand guns have never thrilled me. Bit old fashioned I guess.
Just teasing ya. I've got arthritic hands and light works well for me.
No, no, no. Mixed metaphor alert. It's injun country in the US, where we might hit Pawnees, Cherokees, Apaches, Senecas, Warriors, Archers, etc.
Over Lebanon, that'd be model airplane and David-and-Goliath-stone country. < end-of-pilot-chatter >

OOpps, sorry if I goofed
