So?
Anyone who can afford an Enzo, can very likely afford another one.

100 MPH is a high rate of speed. It's also an extremely dangerous speed. A while ago a kid crashed his Mercedes on the West Side Highway in NYC doing 90 MPH. He killed everyone in the car. They found the engine a block and a half away.

I'm a business acquaintance of Richard Losee, I hated to see this happen.

0-60 in 3.6 seconds...top speed 217+ mph and he crashes at less than 100 mph ?
less than 100 mph ? sell it to someone who can drive it.
To: Jaded
I used to do "parking lot" grand prix racing here in the Seattle area. Your car insurance did not cover you during the event. With a car like this, there may have been some other "special" type of insurance of course.

100 MPH is nothing for an enzo. Guy must be a real tard to have crashed at 100 MPH. That's my take as well. I feel bad for the guy, but I've had my Olds Intrigue well over 100 before, and it's really no big deal.
An Enzo should be able to go 100 around some pretty tight corners without much drama. Maybe there were road conditions that contributed or something. *shrug*

Yeah, I've had my speedo (120 limit) seriously pegged in my Chrysler 300m going across Montana. It's amazing how "tight" the corners are at that speed. You can feel the difference in the front and rear suspension geometry. Although I really, REALLY like the car, a Porsche it aint.

I don't beleive an engine block will go 1 1/2 blockt at 100 mph.
OK, yeah, on a cuty street, 100 MPH is kind of quick, but not an open Utah highway, or even I-95 outside of NYC, especially in a ferrari enzo

Looks like this model doesn't feature stability control.
To: epaul
should have been "the" engine. Got kind of shook up at their average speed.
