"carries a mandatory life-in-prison sentence if he is convicted"
He should be castrated and then executed.
Why do I get the feeling that some judge will find a way to ignore "mandatory life" and only give him a few years, thinking that he can be rehabilitated?
Am I alone here thinking that?

Nope, the way things are going there will be a time when all these people will have their life sentances reduced for crimes like this I think.

Sadly, no. But it sure makes me wonder about those judges private lives if they lack the moral integrity to deal with this kind of debauchery.
