16:09 PDT CNN reports “a second straight night of airstrikes on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital on Friday, targeting an area known as a stronghold of Hezbollah militants.” The Australian adds: “police in the area, a Hezbollah stronghold, said two missiles were fired at the Rweiss and Haret-Hreik districts. An Israeli warplane dropped leaflets on the Hizbollah-controlled suburbs yesterday, warning residents to flee because Israel planned to widen its offensive in the area. Hizbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah yesterday threatened to hit Tel Aviv if Israel struck central Beirut.”
